The WBC organizers and the RCMP are both involved in the issue and no name has been released as yet.

That player’s name is expected to be released later today.

The Cuban ball team is to play for the gold medal this evening at 7.

The as yet unnamed player is the second Cuban ballplayer to  defect in the past two weeks.

Just before the World Baseball Challenge  got underway,  there was word Cuban slugger Jose Abreau had defected from  his  team and was in Haiti. Abreau is expected to command a high price from  any  Major League  Baseball team that hopes to sign  him.

Send Cuba a socialist in exchange.

Why is this an ‘exclusive’ when it is being reported elsewhere?

you so wonder, why and how , it is now being reported elsewhere…… think about it for a moment.

Hope he brought some cigars with him…lol.

I’m sorry. I forgot for a moment that people in the media care about being first and getting a scoop. As a simple civilian, I’m more concerned that a story is right rather than first. Just my opinion.
