Fort St. John, B.C.- With increased interest in natural gas development and the addition of a West Jet flight, the North Peace Regional Airport in Ft. St. John is getting to be one very busy place.
Parking at the airport has become a challenge, and that situation is one step closer to being addressed.
The Airport has received a $250 thousand dollar grant from Northern Development Initiative Trust.
The parking lot upgrades will include the addition of 200 new stalls, of which 100 will be designated for rental cars. The snow storage area will be moved, and a new pay parking system will be installed.
The upgrades are part of a $4.8 million dollar, two phase improvement project for the airport.
