Prince’s Shower Gifts Benefit E Fry Program
Elizabeth Fry Society’s Manager of Women & Childrens’ Services, Amanda Alexander, Prince George Mayor Shari Green, Young Parent Program Coordinator, Shannon Smith
Prince George, BC – Young Prince George of Cambridge is already following in his parents’ charitable footsteps…and a local program for young parents is the beneficiary…
To mark the birth of His Royal Highness on July 22nd, the City of Prince George asked residents to consider donating new baby items to those in need in our own community. And the ‘baby shower’ of sorts, was a success.
"The generous donations from throughout the city, including a crib, to the Elizabeth Fry Society’s Young Parent Program will greatly benefit our teen parents," says the Society’s Manager of Women & Childrens’ Services, Amanda Alexander.
"Often, the young families that access our program have limited financial resources, so donations such as these can truly make a difference."
Prince George Mayor Shari Green is sending out a big thank you to the many thoughtful residents who dropped off gifts at City Hall.

I like the picture they picked welcoming little PG. Nice sunset, rusty old bridge.
It looks like Shari is really enjoying mayor hood!
We have a friend in Vancouver who has a business , and people from England are coming in and asking, WHERE IS P.G. we need to be promoting our City more and not be so focused on social issues. Happy for the Babies.
