Winter Celebration Grants Being Offered

Sunday, September 1, 2013 @ 5:10 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Here’s one for all of the supporters of everything Prince George.

City Hall is now accepting applications for its Community Enhancement Grants. EnhancePG, working with the City, has a grant program in place which offers funding to help local community groups put on winter activities. To qualify, you have to demonstrate that you will add value to the City by hosting a winter event, festival or recreational activity, or a visual display with a winter theme.

Grants are available up to a maximum $2000, but participants must provide at least 50% of the cost of their project. That 50% can be in the form of cash, in-kind donations or volunteer hours. The whole idea is to promote positive winter lifestyles through community events and outdoor recreation.

The grant application deadline is 4:30 pm on Friday, October 11th of this year. You can call the City at 250-561-7640 or go to the City’s website at www.princegeorge.ca and click on City Living > EnhancePG > Enhancement Grants.
