Countdown On To Cure Run

Monday, September 2, 2013 @ 8:28 AM

Prince George, BC – In just over one month, the Prince George Civic Centre Plaza will be awash in a sea of pink with participants lining up for the 2013 CIBC Run for the Cure…

Last year’s 488 participants in Prince George raised close to $109-thousand dollars and Co-Run Director, Renee McCloskey, is encouraging city residents to get involved.

"There’s still plenty of time to do fundraising on your own or with your team," says McCloskey.  "Every bit counts to help fund innovative research, education, and awareness programs for breast cancer."

This year’s run goes Sunday, October 6th at 9:30am.  Information on participating or volunteering at the event is available at www.runforthecure.com, and volunteers will be handing out information at the Prince George Farmers’ Market on September 14th.
