Williams Lake, B.C. – A  Councillor with the City of Williams Lake, is facing an Obstruction of Justice charge.

Surinderpal Rathor  had  assisted police as a translator for a criminal code case  last  December.   It is alleged he interfered with  the investigation  beyond his role as a translator.

Rathor was arrested, and has  since been released  on a Promise to Appear  which  includes  a number of conditions.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on October 2nd in Williams Lake.
