Wildfire Smoke May Drift This Way

Prince George, B.C.- If the air in Prince George seems to have a blue tinge, you can blame it on a fire in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park.
The 120 hectare fire at Eutsuk Lake is producing smoke that may be visible in Prince George, Quesnel, Kenney Dam and neighbouring areas.
If the wildfire grows over the coming days, it could cause smoke to drift through the region.
The Eutsuk Lake fire is burning in an isolated area and is not threatening any communities or infrastructure. It has been designated a "modified response" fire, since it is burning within a forest type that will benefit from wildfire activity.
The fire danger rating throughout the Northwest Fire Centre and the Prince George Fire Centre is currently "moderate" to "extreme."
