New Commander for Quesnel RCMP Detachment

Quesnel, B.C. – The RCMP  Detachment in Quesnel has a new Commander.

Staff Sergeant Steve Vrolyk has been appointed  to  be in charge of the Quesnel Detachment.

He has served the last 4 of his 20 years of policing, in Quesnel.  "I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been entrusted with serving the City of Quesnel and the surrounding communities as their Chief of Police" says S/Sgt Vrolyk, "It is a responsibility that I do not take lightly. As the incoming Detachment Commander, I look forward to serving the community of Quesnel and in providing a high quality of policing service to its citizens."

Under S/Sgt VROLYK’s leadership, the Quesnel RCMP will continue to employ Crime Reduction Strategies including targeting prolific offenders, monitoring crime trends, and developing intelligence led strategies in order to reduce and prevent crime in the community.

"My goal is to continue to build strong partnerships with all of our community partners and citizens to ensure that Quesnel is a safe place for everyone to live, to work and to enjoy" says S/Sgt Vrolyk
