Rare Win For UNBC Timberwolves

Fans sit alongside NCSSL Fields as Timberwolves play Winnipeg Wesmen last night

Prince George, BC –  The UNBC Men Timberwolves recorded their first win of the CIS soccer regular season, beating the University of Winnipeg Wesmen 1-0 in front of hometown fans last night.

It’s just the second win for the team since being entering the league on a two-year probationary period last fall.

But it might be the start of a streak, as the Timberwolves are scheduled to host the only other team they’ve won against, the Mount Royal Cougars, on Sunday at 2pm at the NCSSL Fields, next to the Aquatic Centre.

The Cougars are the other probationary member in the CIS Canada West.  Both teams have four-points, but the T-Wolves have a game in-hand, with a 1-1-and-1 record in just their second weekend of regular season play.
