The fire was quickly brought under control. The occupants had evacuated and there were no injuries to occupants or Firefighters.

Crews were on scene for 2 hours and the RCMP will remain on scene until the cause of the fire is determined when investigators arrive later this morning. Several tenants are being relocated by Victim services, although some suits are still occupied. Damage is estimated at $100,000.

Shoulda let it burn

Hmm, soon to be for sale empty property?
Prime business location, and ‘cleaning up the neighbourhood’. Absentee owner reaps mega bucks.
Plus, this place was OLD, from the 50’s; I remember it as a kid, from that era. Time to move on.

Once a week this dump is a news headline.

Another crime hotspot (pun semi-intended) up in flames.

What is going to be happening to the Government owned Apt. on 20th,its starting to take shape and look very nice. Tax Payers own it so we need to watch and make sure it does not end up like the Ranch Motel. We would hope it’s going to be a safe place for FAMILIES to live in as the school is only a block away. We would hope there is going to be an on site manager and it’s going to be looked after and not allow drugs and prostitution.

Well Known…..To whom, do you ask this question? Not I, unless you want my intake on a civic eyesore, like much of the buildings in the downtown area. Funny. Games are coming, and this %&#* hole burns up.
