Provincial Budget Consultation Team In PG

Prince George, B.C. – The Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services is in Prince George today to hear the public’s thought on what the next Provincial Budget should contain.
“These public consultations give a voice to the taxpayers across the province, and give British Columbians the opportunity to tell government how they want to see their hard-earned dollars spent,” says Committee Chair, MLA Dan Ashton.
Prince George is one of 17 communities in B.C. that will be visited by the Committee , a further four will be linked throught video conference sessions.
The public is invited to attend and make a submission at the public hearings, ( you must have pre-registered). You can also submit a written, audio or video submissions or respond to an online survey.
The deadline for public input is Wednesday, October 16, 2013. The Committee will report on the results of the consultations by November 15.
The Prince George session is set for 8 am to noon in the Skylight Ballroom at the Ramada Hotel.
