Quesnel B.C.- That loud boom that you heard , if you live in and around Quesnel last night at about 9.30 pm, was just the sound of an explosion set off by the RCMP’s Explosive Disposal Unit who had been called to the City Landfill earlier in the day after a small quantity of dynamite was found.

 

The  Dynamite located at the landfill on Carson Pit Rd was described as , in good condition. The dynamite was exploded using a high explosive .

 

The blast was heard out to the Barkerville Rd. and south of Quesnel.
