The Timberwolves were led by third year forward Sydney Hall (Prince George, BC). Hall netted two goals in minute 16 and 35. The second of which was a give and go with second year midfield Sidney Roy (Burnaby, BC). Roy managed to score one of her own, along with Sydney Wilson (Prince George, BC) totalling four goals for UNBC.

Margot Henry (Winnipeg, MB) stood strong for the Wesmen. The rookie keeper showed confidence throughout the game, as she continued to challenge the Timberwolves attack for 90 minutes. Henry was named player of the game for Winnipeg.

The Timberwolves controlled possession in the first half, with Sidney Roy (Burnaby, BC) and Sydney Hall (Prince George, BC) working in tandem to create multiple scoring opportunities for UNBC. The Timberwolves opened the scoring in minute 16 when a long ball from Georgia Lahti (Port Moody, BC) gave Hall a chance to break down the right side. Winnipeg keeper Margot Henry (Winnipeg, MB) challenged the shot but Hall was able to slot the ball behind Henry and into the net for the Timberwolves first goal. Hall would score again in minute 35 off a cross ball from Roy. 

Sidney Roy netted a goal of her own for UNBC in minute 28 off a give and go with Hall. Hall took the ball up the middle of the pitch and passed ahead of Roy who was able to beat her defender to charge the box, a quick cross and Hall was awarded with an open net. The Timberwolves led 3-0 at halftime

The Wesmen tried to push the ball up the field but were stifled by the Timberwolves midfield who continued to challenge the visitors all over the pitch. Margot Henry was the back bone for the Wesmen. The keeper continued to make courageous saves for 90 minutes, putting her body on the line, even after a few rough knocks. Henry totalled eight saves for the game. 

Sydney Wilson, the Timberwolves third Sydney on the field, scored a goal of her own in the second half. The third year midfielder was in perfect position for a rebound off a shot from Hall; Wilson chipped the ball over the Wesmen keeper who was out of the net, for the Timberwolves fourth and final goal in minute 52. All three Sydneys – Sydney Hall, Sidney Roy, Sydney Wilson – managed to score for the Timberwolves with Hall netting two. At the end of the game UNBC finished ahead of Winnipeg 4-0. 

The University of Winnipeg Wesmen will host the University of Fraser Valley and the University of Victoria at home on October 18-19 in their final games of the season. The Timberwolves will travel to play the University of Regina on October 19 and the University of Saskatchewan on October 20 to close out their 2013 regular season play.
