Bellos Overpass On Highway 97 Target Of Vandals

Quesnel BC – RCMP in Quesnel are seeking the public’s help in finding a culprit or culprits who have been reported dropping objects from the Bellos Railway overpass just north of Quesnel.

 

The latest incident involves the driver of a Transport Truck, and the driver of a Commercial bus,  who say their vehicles were struck by objects dropped from the railway overpass shortly before 7.30pm. yesterday.

 

There have been a number of reports that objects have been dropped from the overpass at this location.

Whoever wrote the headline for this needs to reconsider the use of ‘vandal’. This is not the mere destruction of property (the connotation most people have with the word).

Drivers and vehicle occupants have been
killed by such acts.

I agree it should be considered attempted murder. If a punk was throwing knives at the public it would be with the same results, so why should this be considered anything different.

IMO the overpasses with problems like this should have hidden camera’s set up right away with motion sensors to alert the police.
