Prince George- CNC’s dental hygiene students are currently seeking adult patients for their dental hygiene clinics this fall. Twenty dental hygiene students will be in their second year of the program and each require many patients of varying complexities.

The hygiene clinic is ideal for people who are able to commit some time to contribute to the students’ learning experience. For a new adult patient, the minimum number of appointments is three and increases depending on the amount of cleaning required. The students are also required to see patients with active cavities and heavy deposits.

“This is a great option for people who don’t have dental coverage but are willing to commit some time to have their teeth cleaned,” said Monica Costley, Patient Services Co-ordinator for the college’s dental clinic.

The cost for treatment is $30 and could include scaling, prophy and fluoride, desensitizing, radiographs and sealants if required. This fall the clinic times are on Monday afternoons and Thursday and Friday mornings. Limited space is available. Call Monica at 250-561-5810 for more information and to book a complimentary screening appointment.
