Warm Halloween, But No Record Breaker

Thursday, October 31, 2013 @ 8:17 PM
Prince George, B.C. – Halloween  2013 turned out to be a beautiful day, although it did start with black ice   that had a number of drivers slip sliding away.

By the end of the day, the high temperature had hit 12 degrees, very nice for Halloween, but not a record breaker. The highest temp on October 31st was back in 1964 when it hit 15.6 degrees.

The coldest Halloween was in 1984, when the temperature was a bone chilling minus 26.5.

Still, Halloween 2013 was well above the norm for this time of year. The normal “high temperature” is 4.9 degrees.

Things will start cooling off with the temperature hovering around the freezing mark on Saturday and Sunday, and a 60% chance of snow on Saturday, 30% chance of snow on Sunday.
