Shortest fireworks ever at 5 minutes. But they were nice and thanks for continuing this event.

They’re not cheap and they were probably the work of individuals.

We had a super nice show out in Willow River this Year in conjunction with Starlight FX. About $1200. Free hot chocolate and hotdogs. Just gets better every year.

You know what would be a real good idea is, all the people that wants to do these fire works, Set an exact time of 9:30 PM to set off the fire works. Of course if you have a lot of fireworks, it has to be registered with the city fire department.
Thus than if your sitting on top of the cut banks, you get to see all of these go off at once. That would be neat.

I agree, they were really short this year. They were nice, but if you blinked, you missed it.

When fireworks are the order of the day in Birch Bay, WA, the community does not fund them; individual people get together just like here last night.
By far the majority go to the beach where, since it is a bit more than a half circle a couple of KM in diameter one can see the entire shore of the bay.
Groups are line up on the beach along much of the length and of the waterfront and begin setting off fireworks between 8 and 9 pm in the middle of summer (July 1) when it is still light. Most of those are bangers.
After the sun has set, the coloured fireworks start going off. When one group has finished, another one will start up. Some take 5 minutes, others take 10 minutes. There are several going at one time – five to ten or so.
Thus the entire perimeter of the bay is lit up. That goes on until at least midnight.
While that is going on, the entire bay drive along the beach is hopping with people watching, walking, and sitting at the few outdoor restaurants or along the beach with their bonfires.
I have never experienced anything like it.
I like the idea of people getting together to set the fireworks off in a single location in a combined effort. If that could be accomplished here as well, we might be able to do a similar thing along either the Fraser or Nechako riverfront.
