Blackburn Water Now Flowing Again

Prince George, B.C. – Residents of the Blackburn area are being advised to run the water for a moment or two to get any possible air out of the line, following a shut down of water service earlier today.
City crews were to replace an air release valve on the line from the Tabor tank as part of a regular maintenance schedule, but the job became more difficult when the top of the valve broke off.
Crews had to shut down the water supply for about an hour while the replacement of the valve could be completed.
The shut down impacted most of the Blackburn area, including Blackburn School.

Must of been too enthusiastic to get the job done quickly that they turned the valve too hard.
