Prince George, BC – Classes were cut short today for students at Blackburn Elementary, when power went out this morning…

School District 57 Superintendent, Brian Pepper, says parents were notified of the outage and asked to come and pick their children up mid-morning.

Pepper says a couple of other schools are also without power this afternoon – Nukko Lake and Glenview.  "But it's so close to the end of the day, with buses set to get rolling for pick up," he says, "That we decided it just made more sense to keep everyone where they are."
