Snowstorm Leaves Outages In Its Wake

Prince George, BC – BC Hydro crews have been working overtime to restore the path of outages left behind by yesterday's snowstorm and the wind that followed last night…
Right now, there are 38 outages in the Central Interior, affecting 6483 customers. The majority impacted are in the Williams Lake area – with more than 4200 customers in the dark to the north and south of the community. The outages occurred between 12:30am and 1am this morning and Hydro is hoping to have service restored by noon.
Smaller pockets of outages have also occurred in 150 Mile House and 108 Mile.
In Prince George, the largest outage is affecting residents living along North Nechako Road, where close to 800 residences have been without power since 2:30pm yesterday afternoon. Service should be restored by 9am.
And there are smaller pockets of outages to the south of the city, into Red Rock and Hixon, where crews are hoping to have the power back on by 4pm.
