Prince George, B.C. – The annual  Civic  Plaza Light  up is set for Wednesday evening.

This will  be the 20th Anniversary of the event,  and is set to   start with the countdown to the  light-up at 5:30.

All events are scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30,  including  hayrides, live music,  free hot cocoa,  mini holiday lantern   creation at the Two rivers Gallery, and the arrival  of  Santa and Mrs. Claus at 6:30.   Families can  then  take some time to meet the  red suited couple in the Knowledge Garden from 6:30-7:30.

There  will be  a light up story time at the library,  while on the  outdoor rink  there will  be  skating  and figure skating demonstrations.

The event is free,   with the exception of  admission to the Festival of Trees taking place in the  Civic Centre.
