Suspect Charged In Violent Attacks
Prince George, B.C.- A young man is facing a string of charges in the wake of three violent attacks in the City.
The most recent incidents happened on the weekend. Around 6:00 Saturday morning, Prince George RCMP responded to a call of an Assault with a weapon, in a residence on Fraser Crescent.
Police arrived to find a man and woman suffering from the effects of a noxious substance, most likely bear spray. Police say a considerable amount of cocaine, beleived to belong to the attacker, was located and seized.
In this case, police beleive there was some sort of disagreement among the three who were known to each other.
Later that same day, around 1:40 in the afternoon, RCMP responded to a report of an Attempted Robbery in the parking lot of a gas station on 5th Avenue in the City. A male suspect attempted to rob an adult male victim of his cell phone by brandishing a can of bear spray as well as threatening to stab him. The suspect fled the scene, but was apprehended by police a short time later. He was in possession of bear spray. It does not appear that the suspect and victim are known to each other.
The first incident happened back in late September, when a man was struck on the head with a blunt force object. That attack was beleived to be targeted.
A 25 year old man, originally from Red Deer Alberta is now facing a string of charges stemming from the three incidents.
