Civic Plaza Christmas Spirit Glows

Prince George, B.C.- Santa and hayrides, cocoa and skating, all elements of the annual Civic Plaza Light up event.
It is one of the favourite family events of the season in Prince George , with kids invited to make paper lanterns at the Art Gallery, or sit in at the Library for a special reading.
Out doors, the public skating area is open for skaters, and figure skating demonstrations, while others line up to go once around the block in the hay wagon .
But it’s the arrival of Mr and Mrs Claus that has little ones all wired up. The familiar “Ho-Ho –Ho” is an attention getter, especially among the little ones who wonder which “list” they may be on this year.

Picture doesn’t do it justice. There were throngs on people downtown. Families were singing Christmas carols on hay rides through the streets. Kids were walking around with beautiful lanterns they made at the art gallery. Figure skaters gave a nice show on the rink. It was a great downtown event.
