It all started early last Sunday, when members of the  PG. RCMP’s Crime Reduction team were keeping a close watch on a known  property offender.

Around 1 in the  morning,  the officers  observed two men  start up a 5 ton  truck that was parked in the Tomlin Road area of the City.

The vehicle  headed south on highway 97,  and  police were able to contact the owner of the truck and confirm that the vehicle had been stolen.

Officers followed the vehicle along Highway 97 through Hixon,  at which time the Quesnel RCMP turned out to help.

The truck was stopped at 2:25 in the morning and two men  were arrested.
