Prince George, BC – 'Twas the Night Before Christmas at Art Space last night, as the Nechako Community Theatrics Society presented the classic Christmas poem, along with an old-fashioned sing-a-long, and their version of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
It was night two of a three-night offering of 'Holiday Tales' by the group. Society President, Laura Bennett, says the small, community-based theatre company formed about a year and a half ago.
"I really love theatre and there were some people around, as well, that were very interested in an open group that people could join and have some fun," says Bennett, when asked about the impetus for the company.
She says the youngest member is nine and the oldest is over fifty, with the majority of members in their late teens and early twenties.
Productions to date have included 'An Evening of Darkness', that featured chocolate, coffee and dark comedy, as well as 'Giving Relationships the Raspbery', which was an adult-themed, humorous look at relationships.
Tonight is the final evening to catch 'Holiday Tales'. Doors open at 6:30, with the performance beginning at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Adults can get in for $5 with the donation of a non-perishable food item.
