Festival of Trees A Record Breaker
Prince George, B.C.- The final tally is in, the 20th Anniversary Edition of the Festival of Trees in Prince George, raised close to $700 thousand dollars, making it a record breaking year.
“No amount of words can express how thankful we are for the support we received for this event,” said Judy Neiser, CEO for the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “We are so very grateful to our sponsors, donors and everyone who attends this event to ultimately strengthen healthcare in the North. We respect that donors have a choice in where they donate, and we are so thankful that the community has embraced the Spirit of the North in their philanthropic wishes.”
As was reported earlier, the Gala Event raised just over $425 thousand dollars alone, with the balance of the funds coming from the other events such as the Teddy Bear Breakfast, Family Brunch, Fashion Show and the Seniors’ Teas.
All of the dollars raised through the 9 day Festival go towards improving healthcare in the North.

Hmmm, interesting that this good news story has been up for over six hours and no one made a comment on it!?! I did a bit of volunteering for it again this year, thoroughly enjoyed the positive environment, and appreciate all the dedication and donations that resulted in this record breaker. There are many wonderful and generous people living in this City I am proud to call home.
