Site C Subject of JRP Hearing in P.G. Today
Prince George, B.C. – The Public hearing on the proposed Site C dam will get underway at 9 this morning in Prince George.
The Joint Review Panel has already held several sessions since this portion of the review of the project got underway in Fort St. John on December 9th.
Today, only seven presentations will be made, including the following:
- Chief Donny Van Somer of the Kwadacha First Nation,
- The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies of BC
- The Central Interior Logging Association, and
- The Sea Breeze Victoria Converter Corporation.
BC Hydro will making opening and closing remarks.
The Prince George sessions are being held at the Ramada Hotel and are scheduled to wrap up at 1:00 this afternoon.
When the Prince George session wraps up, the Joint Review Panel will take a break over the Christmas holidays, and return to work in Fort St. John on January 6th for a series of sessions that will take place in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Peace River.

Speaking of which⦠when that dam is approved, I wonder how many Temporary Foreign Workers will be used to build?
Not many people at this meeting. Some lady speaking without any idea what she was talking about and that is who the media plays on the news, just sad.
