Another Blast Of Snow On The Way For Prince George
Prince George- Between now and Friday night you can expect 30 centimetres (12 inches) of snow to fall. Environment Canada has issued a snow fall warning for the region. The 45 centimeters combined with what we have already have, will break the average of 48 centimetres for the month of December by a wide margin.
The last blast of snow came on December 12th and dumped more than 40 centimetres of snow on most regions.
Environment Canada is careful to point out that the snow gauge is located at the Prince George airport and those snow amounts can vary a lot from area to area.
The first blast shouldn't arrive until sometime tonight when we receive 10 centimetres, followed by 15 more on Friday.
While Prince George and Quesnel will receive the brunt of the snow, Williams Lake is set to receive up to 25 centimetres, Smithers 14, McBride up to 15, and Mackenzie who normally sets the record will receive about 20 centimetres.
The good news is that the heavy snowfall stops at the border . To the east in Grande Prairie they are set to receive light snow, in Edmonton they are predicting light snow and a few flurries Friday and Saturday, while in Calgary they are only looking to receive light flurries.
It definitely will be a white Christmas.

“The good news is that the heavy snowfall stops at the border”
Why is that good news? If it stopped at the border before coming into BC, now THAT would be good news.
That’s so BC mountains will be busy with skiers. Albertans will have to wait.
