Terrace, BC – A suspected impaired driver suffered minor injuries after he was arrested with the help of the RCMP's Dog Services in Terrace on Friday night…
RCMP say they received a complaint from the owner of a van, who's vehicle had been taken without permission. Officers located the van, but say it failed to stop.
According to police, the suspect eventually drove into a ditch and fled the scene. Police dog, Rook, located the man hiding in the bush and snow.
RCMP say the 28-year-old suffered minor injuries during the arrest and was treated by BC Ambulance Services. He remains in custody, awaiting a court appearance.

the ROOK ALWAYS GETS HIS MAN
A perfect example of stupidity on three levels…
stealing
drunk driving
and
trying to hide from a police dog…
common sense is not that common
He’s lucky. Hiding in the elements like that while drunk could have ended far worse than an arrest.
Naaww, he had antifreeze LOL
I wonder if, looking back, the alleged perp wishes the RCMP employed cats instead of dogs.
Sure Harb, cat scratches all over his back, then his wife would be asking questions….
Grizzly1. Ha ha ha. There was a time……
