Prince George Scores NCLGA 2015 AGM
Prince George, BC – Add another item to the agenda for the City of Prince George in 2015…
The Board of the North Central Local Government Association has passed a unanimous motion to hold its annual general meeting here in 2015.
Prince George City Councillor and NCLGA Director, Dave Wilbur, says, "This is a significant win for Prince George and I have to take my hat off to the staff who helped prepare such a comprehensive and compelling case for holding the event here in 2015."
"Our AGM in an opportunity for politicians, administrative staff and other stakeholders throughout central and northern BC to convene and discuss our shared concerns and look at common opportunities," says NCLGA President, Bruce Christensen, a Fort St. John City Councillor. "Our annual gathering is one of the biggest of its kind in BC, second only to UBCM's convention."
The NCLGA covers 70-percent of BC's land mass and recent multi-billion dollar energy project proposals make it one of the most heavily invested areas in North America. Not only does 2015 mark the association's 60th anniversary, it marks this city's 100th anniversary and the year we will also host the Canada Winter Games.

“The NCLGA covers 70-percent of BC’s land mass and recent multi-billion dollar energy project proposals make it one of the most heavily invested areas in North America”.. Has there actually been investment in this LNG or is it all just talk and proposals now? I think the latter. Just more backslapping and glad handing on the taxpayers money is what it looks like to me. They just finished a big UBCM get together and now this.
