From All Of Us At 250, A Merry Christmas
It is a time for the holiday season, a time for us to look forward to visits with family and friends, a time to reflect back on yet another year. It is a time to count our blessings, a time to realize that while you sit and read this item, there are millions of people across the world who will never have the opportunity to do the same.
We are blessed in Canada, in British Columbia and indeed in the place I like to call my home, Prince George. Through the efforts of our ourselves, our forefathers, and the greatness of our country we enjoy a standard of living second to none.
Looking back since my own childhood things have changed, and changed a lot . Christmas, when I was young, was the one time of the year when we enjoyed the best meal and gathering. Christmas was a time which did not include a lot of presents but a bountiful feast as food may not have been plentyful in other times of the year. It was the time when family came to together to enjoy each other.
I think we have lost some of that desire, perhaps driven by the fact that our standard of living has grown to such a point that Christmas doesn't hold the same importance it did as a time for sharing. That is sad, and yet it is hard to argue the progress we have made.
So today we at 250News take time to thank each and every one of you for making 250 such a success during 2013, we are proud of our accomplishments and proud to include you as one of our readers.
From Elaine, Ben, Michelle, Don (hawk) , Stan , Shea, Shirley, Wayne , Rick, Peter, and of course Daisy, may your Christmas be a time of joy, a time of happiness and no matter what your circumstance, we hope you can make this Christmas the best it can be.
May God rest you merry gentlemen may nothing you dismay for Christ our Lord and saviour was born on Christmas day…. and Oh Yes there is Magic.
I'm Meisner, and that's one man's Merry Christmas wish.
