Ice Oval Closed
Friday, December 27, 2013 @ 3:42 AM
Prince George, B.C. – The weather hasn't been kind to the Ice Oval Society.
The Ice Oval on the west side of the Kin Centres, has been closed because the daytime temperatures are too warm and the ice is too soft for skating.
The opening of the ice oval was delayed because there was too much snow, and now, the temps are too warm to keep it open.
It is possible the oval could open again on the weekend, if the overnight temperatures slip low enough below zero that should be enough for the oval to to survive temperatures of plus 2 or 3 during the day.

Al Gore was maybe right? Except in Ontario this year, I guess.
Al Gore was wrong, he didn’t understand how to read the data. But will they ever admit it?
NoWay is wrong, he didn’t understand how to read the data. But will he ever admit it? ;-)
Aren’t opinion fun????
Give me the opinions, just the opinions, not the facts.
Kay, just got a couple of phone calls. They want the facts …..

“For global warming believers, 2013 was the year from Hell”

For those who don’t like to click on articles;
‘Almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong for the cause of global warming’
‘2013 has been a gloomy year for global warming enthusiasts. The sea ice in the Antarctic set a record, according to NASA, extending over a greater area than at any time since 1979 when satellite measurements first began. Five years ago, Al Gore predicted that by 2013 “the entire North Polar Ice Cap would be gone.” Didn’t happen. Instead, a deflated Gore saw the Arctic Ice Cap increase by over 50% over 2012.’
Here is an excerpt from a 2009 study on how global warming has and will affect our Prince George climate;
“In recent decades, Prince George has become âless coldâ and a greater percentage of precipitation has fallen as rain rather than snow. These climate trends are consistent with streamflow trends at several locations where flow increased (decreased) in winter (summer).”
“Annual temperatures in the region are projected to increase an average of 1.6°C to 2.5°C by the middle of the 21st century. Precipitation is projected to increase by 3% to 10% primarily in winter with possible decreases in summer. The magnitude of projected temperature change is likely to result in serious impacts as they are above the historical range in variability for this region, and will create conditions that have not occurred historically. Changes to streamflow timing and amount will depend on watershed location and type.”

Ladies and gentlemen I present you with this scientific study, argue all you want, it still won’t change the facts presented therein.
Global warming and climate change are regarded as a religion. Pretty hard to eradicate a religion. Especially one that pays if ya got a gimmick.
And the world’s glaciers are disappearing because???

Before and after pictures of glaciers taken from the exact same spot 50 to 70 years apart. Focus on the background mountains, they are the same, the difference is no glaciers!!!
Harbinger; global warming is a proven SCIENTIFIC FACT, it is not a religion!!! Although some “flat earth society” members on this blog so desperately want to believe otherwise!
Be nice. Ever looked over the “edge” of the earth? It’s a looong way down. If you see me around keep yourself away from the edge. Belief? I believe I will go to Tim’s now. Happy New Year, pal.
Climate Change, folks, it’s called climate change.
When are those winter games coming?
Next monsoon season.
