Coldest temperature EVER recorded on earth was in 2010 in Antartica at -135.8F!! Then in 2012 another low at -135.3F.

Weather changes. It always has, and always will and the shills trying to guilt us into thinking it’s because we drive our cars to work and run our furnaces in the winter time ought to be ashamed of themselves.

Back to the topic at hand, today I had to spend a fair bit of time driving around the city. The roads were awful, and it was quite tiring trying to stay so focused on driving.

One would think that the city would have stuck every available plow and grader on the roads while they were this wet and soft instead of waiting until the temperature drops 10 or more degrees and they have to try and plow glare ice.

I was driving around to several places in the downtown area as well as the west side of the bowl. Left at 12:30 and came back around 4:30 …..went to 4 places, had to park the car in all four and walk into and out of destinations.

I did not see any snow clearing vehicles nor any sign of snow clearing equipment.

I do not know where they were.

One needed to wear duck boots to maneuver the parking spaces and streets and sidewalks. Hit the bottom of my car on several occasions transitioning from roadway to parking lot via what looked to be a puddle that turned out to be potholes or whatever on paved road and sidewalk and lane.

This City is not prepared. This City does not care. This City does not know how to keep streets relatively safe for travel by vehicles and pedestrians.

Why did the core review not go into that kind of assessment – the work that the City is responsible for, the standard that the City should meets in doing that work, and the standard to which the City actually does that work.

No need to beat one’s chest about how great it core review was. It wasn’t!!!!!

And the first indication that it would not be was when the consultants from KPMG failed to identify the background education and experience they had in matter dealing with the actual operations of a City. The report was total bean counter BS.

At least when KPMG does quality audits in the forestry industry they have Foresters on the audit team.

My very simple observation is that you do not have the faintest clue what is meant by climate change and more importantly the current global warming trend we are still in.

To understand that you should do a bit of research to find out how annual mean global temperatures are actually measured. Suffice it to say that for the last 30 to 40 years, we have been using satellite systems coupled with older ground stations which record temperatures. The two are compared to ensure that the satellite data is “ground truthed”

Moving from Global climate change to Global death rates, I would like to mention that globally there are roughly:

During my lifetime so far, there have been around 4 billion deaths.

At some time in the future, everyone posting on here and everyone living in PG will be included in those numbers.

NG one could argue that the increase in vehicle accidents, and deaths, are a result of global warming induced mild winter weather.

No global warming, cold winters keeping the MPB population in check, no MPB epidemic, no beetle killed wood, no dry beetle killed dry wood saw dust, no explosions.

5 years ago a climatologist from the BC museum in Victoria predicted that in 50 years PG would have a grape wine industry.
