Search Continues For Missing Prince Rupert Man
Prince Rupert, B.C. – Police forces in northwestern B.C. are combining efforts to find a Prince Rupert man who was reported missing on December 31st.
26-year-old Adam Moore was last seen near the 7-11 store in Prince Rupert at approximately 3:15 a.m on December 29th, 2013. Additional inquiries determined he may have driven to Terrace, however that has not been confirmed.
An extensive search has been launched in the area between Prince Rupert and Terrace. Terrace/Kitimat Search and Rescue, RCMP Integrated Road Safety Unit, CN Rail Police, RCMP West Coast Marine Services and the Auxiliary Coast Guard are actively searching. The Prince Rupert RCMP is also expecting the Canadian Coast Guard Helicopter to be joining the search effort throughout the day.
“As we continue in this search effort we are appealing to Prince Rupert and the surrounding community for any possible leads that could assist us in finding Adam”, stated Cst. Matt Ericson, spokesman for the Prince Rupert RCMP. “Something that the public may feel is insignificant may be imperative to our investigation and we are urging the public to make contact with investigators.”
Adam is described as 6 feet tall (slim build), 176 pounds, short brown hair and brown eyes. Adam’s vehicle is described as a black 2005 Volkswagen Jetta (similar to the one in photo) with British Columbia License Plate 517 NVV.
