A Reminder To Slow Down In School Zones

Prince George, B.C. – Local police are passing on a reminder to the motoring public to be extra vigilant while driving the streets of Prince George over the next few days.
Classes are back in session following the two-week break for the holidays and that means plenty of children trekking to and from their schools. Recent cool weather means sidewalks and streets are slippery and that could cause a youngster to lose their footing or perhaps step out into the roadway to avoid slipping on a sidewalk. Police remind you to obey all signs in school zones and to proceed cautiously through those areas.
The next major holiday period for public school kids is March 17th to 28th when they’ll be off for Spring Break.
