Do the rest of us get help from the forensic investigations unit when our homes are broken into?
Dragonmaster
Did you ask for forensic investigations when you needed it? Were there signs left that made it appear worth putting in the time? Do you have a video surveillance system?
They probably just dusted for prints and/or are taking a look at the surveillance system videos.
Smooth,
You don’t ask for forensic investigations.
If someone breaks into your home is it not worth the time? Does it matter if someone has a video system or not? If someone breaks into your home, they damn well better use everything at their disposal to catch them.
Everyone should be dealt with equally, period!
What do we pay taxes for again, for those special people that deserve it?
Pffft!
Dragon; business and industry come first, they must be served first, and they must be accommodated first, we the humble and lowly masses come last.
Ever drive by the Pine Centre Mall, Parkwood Mall, or Spruceland Mall after a big snowfall? Just getting off our, publicly owned, snow and ice choked city streets to drive around on their cleared, privately owned, parking lots is a complete and utter privilege. *wipes tear from eye…
Hmmm … youd think theyd have a guard dog.
Good one!!!!
“forensic investigations unit” is just a fancy name they give to those in the same positions people used to be in before they came up with all those important sounding names.
The typical reaction when a store gets broken into and goods taken in a quick 3 minute or less smash and grab is that they will take the info but really have no ability to find the burglars. $5,000 value? Claim it on your insurance is the attitude.
When I had my shed/garage broken into a few years back a second group of officers showed up and dusted for fingerprints – does that count as a forensics unit?
People#1 – so you are saying that privatized snow removal is better? Interesting…

And here I thought that the pet version of CSI would be attending the scene. ;-)
interceptor; I am saying snow removal on private business property is faster and better⦠yes.
Now if the city and province could just start increasing taxes to these businesses and apply those increases to public road maintenance and snow removal, we should begin to see some equity in service.
