Spreading the Word about CrimeStoppers
Prince George, B.C. – This is CrimeStopper month, and there are a number of events scheduled in Prince George to spread the word about passing along tips to investigators in the fight against crime in Prince George.
Last year, CrimeStoppers in Prince George received 587 tips, which lead to 26 arrests. The tips also lead to 13 awards worth a total of $2430 being handed out to tipsters, and more than $35 thousand dollars worth of property being recovered.
Over the next three weekends, Crime Stoppers Prince George has plans to be:
-at the Pine Centre Mall on Saturday and Sunday , the eleventh and 12th, sharing information and offering some free swag
-at the UNBC Timberwolves game at the Northern Sport Centre on the 18th. CrimeStoppers will be hosting a paper airplane toss , prizes include a Kindle Fire HD tablet.
-at the Spruce Kings game on Saturday January 25th ( barring strike action) at the Coliseum, there will be a chance to win another Kindle Fire HD tablet.
Prince George will host the 2015 BC CrimeStoppers conference. More than 150 delegates from more than 20 CrimeStoppers programs in the province are expected to attend the event from April 30th to May 2nd in 2015.

Crimestoppers is a Orwellian word. It should read, “Ratline”. Stop crime? Duh! Get a clue every one.
Replacing a socially acceptable term used as a brand for a public safety organization with street slang is regressive, get a clue.
Why on earth would anyone admire street scum? It’s not cool to be a wigger. It just proves your intellectual and emotional maturity.
