My heart is very sorrowful! Please know, many people are grieving with your family at this time!

Sad, sad story….RIP

Something must be done with this highway the loss of any life is to many. Condolence to the family

Very sad. Yes Walter198, people have got to slow down and expect those icy spots.

I think they said eight loses of life was what justified the Sea to Sky highway… and yet 16 west from PG to Vanderhoof has had near that many in the last month.

I don’t know if it was speed or not, but that corner does have a funny kind of camber on it that could cause drift on ice and may have been a contributing factor.

One thing as well about these empty bunk racks and lumber deck trailers is they often don’t have the weight they need on their trailer axles… the tractor slows down and the trailer gets no traction and wants to push… add in a potential service line break like the Boston Pizza driver had and this can be a big safety issue for a genuine accident. I’m sure investigators will determine the issues in their safety investigation. I’m just concerned about the empty lumber haulers seeing how some of them drive when up here from the Lower Mainland.

At the end of the day its another sad outcome and my condolences to the family and friends for their tragic loss.

Hard to believe it takes loss of life to improve a highway let alone 8. If that’s true?

Sad?? i mean.

Whatever the cause of this accident, the loss of life is very sad. Condolences.

Another sad day for a family and friends of the passenger but also for the drivers. They both will never sleep the same again. Please, slow down out there, it’s the only way the accident rate will go down. We own our truck and will guarantee that the last thing we want to happen is an accident. Have videos everyday of drivers going to fast for conditions. Please slow down so my truck comes home tonight.
