Terrace, B.C. – A 27 year old Prince Rupert man has died in a crash on Highway 16 west.

Terrace RCMP  say the crash occurred  at the 104 KM mark on Highway 16 West at around 3 yesterday afternoon.

Investigators say  a westbound Honda Civic lost control and collided head on with an eastbound empty dual axel gravel truck.

The 27 yr old was a passenger in the Honda and was deceased on scene. The 31 yr old driver of the Honda also from Prince Rupert was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital in serious condition. The 58 yr old driver of the gravel truck was transported to Mills Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

Road conditions at the time were snow covered and slippery.
