Windstorm Knocks Out Power

Tuesday, January 14, 2014 @ 7:37 PM

Prince George, B.C. – The  windstorm that has whipped across northern B.C.  is being blamed for  knocking out power to thousands of  B.C. Hydro  customers.

Nearly 9,000 customers from Terrace to Sinclair Mills,  Fort St. John to  Prince George,  are off the grid.

B.C. Hydro's estimates on when power might be restored  range from 11:30 tonight,  to the wee hours of tomorrow morning.

evey time there is a bit of wind or snow and ice there are power outages everywhere. during summer why doesn’t hydro get some of the unemployed out with a supervisor and go around some of the lines and trim the pontentially dangerous branches or trees down?
I’m sure they would save in the long run.

Like they don’t do that already. Rolls eyes!

Just wait. When this is done they will leave about 80 houses in the dark and increase power sales to the south by 0.0000001% ;)
