Tuesday, January 14, 2014 @ 11:13 AM

Prince George, B.C. –  There is a wind warning in effect for most of Northern B.C..

The North and Central Coast,  Bulkley and the Lakes, B.C. Peace,  Fort Nelson,  are all under a wind warning that  predicts winds  of 60-90km later today.

For Prince George,   although not included in the warning, (yet) the expectation is that winds will   be 50 km gusting to 70 kms  by this evening.

The good news for Prince George is the onset of warmer temperatures, as  a Pineapple Express moves into the region bringing warmer  air  this way  for  the next few days.

Sorry to be a negative Nelly but how is “warmer air” a good thing for Prince George? I think most people who love to see more normal winter temperatures, say -5 to -8 C.

The warmer, the better! -5 to -8 won’t melt the ice and snow off of our streets. Good grief!

Ya, um, balboa, it is January and that pretty much means it’s winter. You can’t really expect the ice and snow off the streets in January, unless you live somewhere south of PG.

Just what the loggers need, breakup in Jan!

Remember all those nasty army of crawling insects late last spring. Well I doubt if all this so called ” warmer the better” weather is going to help much.

All this “weird weather” makes me wonder about the Canada Winter Games slated for next winter. The weather has become so unpredictable, will it affect the Games?

Vancouver Owelymic visions of helicopters air dropping snow on local ski hills, and dump trucks hauling snow in from other areas at higher elevations are dancing in my head.

I guess, I should of added (since the city can’t clean them) Cry about the cold, cry about the heat.

Nothing, new, no records broken. I have seen it all before.

Considering buying stock in any kite company?

Who want to bet there’s gonna be power outages

People#1…. nawwww Green will just get her buckets and haul it in from Whistler. No worries… The Games will go on :)

Yeah, this weather makes for pretty tough sloggin’ in the bush.
