Prince George- A mother and her six children escaped a fire on Redwood street last night , that started at around 6.45pm.

Firemen were called to the scene of the fire in the 2200 block of Redwood , to find the mother her children standing outside of the burning home,

Crews were on the scene for about three hours in order to bring the blaze under control.

Damage is estimated at approximately $140,000 dollars. The cause of the fire at this point is undetermined.

A further investigation is underway.
