Prince George Fire and Rescue at scene of logging truck crash – photo 250News
Prince George, BC- No one hurt, but traffic has been slowed on Chief Lake Road near Foothills Boulevard this morning after a logging truck crossed the on coming lane and plowed into the ditch.
The driver was not injured.
Traffic through the area is down to single lane alternating traffic and will be for some time until the rig can be removed from the site.

No one was in the oncoming Lane , no Head on! Some Days Luck is on your Side.
I’m wondering of that’s the same truck that was racing up the Hart this morning (in the left lane all the way!) He turned on to Chief Lake Road around 8.
It’s a Shallard truck. Very inexplicable, roads aren’t even icy there. Me thinks he texts too much? Who knows.
Maybe you guys shouldn’t jump to so many conclusions I haul with him and knowing what happened maybe everyone should just shut up if they don’t know
We need to start respecting trafic laws way to many accidents in our region WHY because everyone isn’t following the speed laws.
Fair enough 1981gm. He also could’ve swerved to avoid a collision. Sorry.
Seems like every logging truck accident that has happened so far the drivers have been stellar, i doubt this one will be any different. Their problems start as soon as they enter the general public’s bad driving habits.

Please tell us what happened then.
PS. One comment about texting does not “so many conclusions” make.
Out of respect all I will say it was something medical
This could have been a whole lot worse as it was within a few feet of a School Bus stop with kids waiting.

Hope he’s going to be OK. See how easy it was to end all the speculation?
No injuries! omg I just about had a heart attack when I saw this pic. I dropped my grandaughter off at 8:10 this a.m. she was standing EXACTLY where that truck plowed through. Im still trying to catch my breath. Yes, ‘pipes’ it could have been a whole lot worse!!
There has also been a couple of them racing up foothills at 430 in the morning.
Thanks 1981, people jump to too many conclusions on here.
I would invite all of you to come to the site of this ‘accident’ tomorrow a.m. when the school children are standing there. It will become very real what kind of tragedy could have happened. This man could have plowed through this group of kids and we would be wakeing up to a very different scenerio. There was NO MEDICAL EMERGENCY..he got out of his truck right away. It was driver error. period. And I am P*ssed!

Most interesting. If this is true (and I really don’t know who to believe) I hope they come down hard on the driver.
believe me. I stopped and talked to two of the teenagers this morning that were standing there yesterday when this happened. If there is someone I can talk to about charges I certainly will! by the time 250 got there, the kids were all picked up by the school bus and it was just a picture and some traffic issues. I think the point needs to be made what a huge tragedy was narrowly avoided. Reckless driving is NEVER acceptable.
Did you tell this to the RCMP?
@ axman. I havent, I didnt know how best to proceed, but it is only logical that if charges are to be laid, they are the ones that will take care of it. I will make the call today. thank you.
