Prince George, B.C.- The second annual Market Expansion Forum hosted by Initiatives Prince George saw more than 150 representatives of local and regional businesses take part.
The day long event yesterday gave business owners a change to connect directly with those folks who are responsible for securing goods and services for resource related projects underway or planned for Northern B.C.
The event was set for the day before the Natural Resources Forum gets underway in Prince George, an event which brings together many of the companies involved in projects that are planned for the region.
The major companies that took part, outlined the procurement processes, schedules and opportunities during two sessions.

If you dont know who was involved in this forum or what it does for suppliers than I suspect it wasnt really meant for you ;)
ps – Enbridge was only one of the companies represented
I really hate to sound negative here, but Edmonton will always provide the bulk of goods and services to the oilfield & related businesses. And after Edmonton, Grande Prairie will take up any slack. P.G. businesses will continue to pick up the crumbs. Look, even Crushed Flattened and Lost Freightways have pulled out, I assume they make so much money in Alberta that N.W. B.C. is a waste of their time.
