Family Day Fun Planned at NSC
Prince George, B.C. – The Northern Sport Center is planning a full day of activity for B.C.’s Family Day on February 10th.
The plan is to make the Northern Sport Centre a “playground” for kids of all ages.
“We are inviting families to experience what the NSC has to offer, allowing them to spend time together by participating in physically and mentally challenging activities” says the Center’s Assistant Manager Virginia Ashley. “As a community facility, it is important to us that we support and encourage active lifestyles for the families of Prince George” adds Ashley who invites area residents to join the Northern Sport Centre in a day filled with sport groups so families can learn new skills and discover new ways to keep active together.
There is no cost for the event, which starts at 10 and runs till 4:00 on February 10th.
Here are just some of the activities planned for the day:
* Free Kids Yoga, Kids Zumba, Kids TRX and StrollerFIT
* Free Snowshoe and Cross-Country Ski Rentals.
* Sport Zones: Badminton, basketball, soccer and wheelchair basketball
* XploreSportz Zone and a Challenge/Sport Science Zone
* Sport Testing/Physio Zones
* Pictures with the UNBC Timberwolves Mascot
* Special Guest Appearances from Prince George Sport Hall of Famers
In addition, multiple vendors will be on site and there will be a draw to win a Family Pack of Tickets to see The Original Harlem Globetrotters play at the NSC the following night

no cost, great, but they failed to say if they were waiving the parking fees? those usually end up costing more than anthing else.
Parking is pretty cheap. I would doubt if you paid more than $3.00 if you stayed all day.
People will find something to complain about whatever the activity is. It’s really ridiculous.
