Time Running Out To Offer Feedback on Highway Safety and Speed Review
Friday, January 24, 2014 @ 3:56 AM
Prince George, B.C. – Today is the last day to offer online feedback to the Province of B.C’s Highway Safety and Speed Review.
The Province is gathering input on possible speed limit changes, the use of winter tires, wildlife hazards and slow moving vehicles .
The last major review of speed and safety issues on B.C.’s highways was done in 2003. That review identified some areas where speed limits could be increased, and where some should be lowered.
You can fill out the online feedback form here.
Or send in an written submission via email: safetyandspeedreview@gov.bc.ca or mail: PO Box 3522 Vancouver Main, Vancouver, B.C. V6B 3Y4.

No substantial changes have occured since the last 2003 survey on the rural highways, in my opinion , so why another costly survey?
Feedback is being asked only for B.C.âs Rural highways, not B.C.âs urban highways.
When the gov’t has no proposals for improvement on rural highway’s in lieu of they give another survey.
One question I have, when it comes to the use of winter tires, how they are defined for large trucks and their trailers, do all of their tires have a snowflake on them in order to prove their are proper winter tires.
I never heard of any designation for trucks but most use winter grip tires on the drive axles and some even use grips on the steering axle. Trucks tires have a very different reaction to ice and snow than smaller vehicles.
Give more, thanks for the input. One would think info would be supplied some where, there has be some type of criteria on winter truck and trailer tire regulations.
