Quesnel Man Arrested After Wild Ride
Quesnel, B.C. – A 24 year od Quesnel man is facing a string of possible charges following an incident on the weekend in Quesnel.
Shortly after 8pm on Saturday, February 1st, 2014, Quesnel RCMP were advised a truck had been stolen from the 100 block of Ewing Drive in Quesnel.
Within minutes, RCMP located the vehicle operating in an erratic manner. Police say they activated their emergency lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to stop for police.
A spike belt was used to disable the vehicle's tires and the 24 year old was taken into police custody shortly thereafter.
The 24 year old male remains in police custody awaiting his first formal appearance in Court.
RCMP are recommending charges of Theft, Flight from Police and Impaired Driving.
