No Early Spring in Central Interior
Environment Canada three month prediction on temperature anomalies for Canada – courtesy Environment Canada
Prince George, B.C.- Never mind what the groundhogs had to say on the weekend, Environment Canada has issued its three month prediction to take us through the end of April.
The prediction is there is a 40-60% probability the temperature in the Prince George region, will be a little colder than what is normal for the period.
As for precipitation, that seems a little more difficult to pin down.
The meteorologists are calling for near normal levels of precipitation for the next three months in the Central Interior of BC
(map at right, shows predicted precipitation anomalies for the next 3 months – map courtesy Environment Canada).
the maps show a 30-40% chance of near normal, below normal and above normal groupings for the region. On the map at right, the central interior of B.C. is shown to have "normal Precipitation" through to the end of April.
For the short term, the forecast is calling for plenty of sunshine, but cold temperatures through the balance of the week, with a low of minus 31 on Friday.

We had spring like conditions pretty much from Dec to the end of Jan. March isn’t far off so no biggy!
I think these folks have about as much chance predicting weather as the Inuit do, and they’re having a tough time with it.
Climate Change is making us mental â fear of âstormsâ undoing evolution!
These days people are practically getting post traumatic climate disorder after bouts of extreme weather. More pointlessly, some are getting pre-traumatic stress from events that havenât even happened.
Makes you wonder how humanity survived the ice ages every time a storm hit â no fire department, no Hurricane-Relief funds, no phones, no food stores, no doctors. Electricity out for 90,000 years.

You are trying to be funny, right? Right . . . ?
Does anyone remember the “I survived the deepfreeze in 1978” I still have my CKPG certificate. In Penny it was -52 for 10 days and in PG it was -46 for 10days. I say any thing after -40 just phone in sick things break about then. Give it 4 months and people will say it’s to hot hehe. -10 is perfect for the winter.

Too hot in PG? Not possible, LOL ;)
Well we had to wait until February to get “normal” winter temperatures and weather!
Anyone else notice where the above average temperatures will be occurring on the above map?
Study polar vortex, pdo and amo for starters.
Sheeple#1, if you look we are ‘below normal’ for Feb, have been since the end of Jan. Got no funny pic to share on this one? Maybe a polar bear freezing his tail off?
Normal right now is -3 high to -10 low. We are not even reaching the low for our highs and are projected by Environment Canada to be in the -30 lows and -16 highs through to monday next week
stinky states: “Got no funny pic to share on this one?”
