Deadline Looms for Mascot Submissions
Prince George, B.C. – Today marks the final day for submissions to the 2015 Canada Winter Games Mascot Challenge.
Students from throughout northern B.C. were invited to select one of the critters featured in the 2015 Canada Winter Games “brand”, give it a name and a story. ( image at right l-r cougar, bear, eagle, moose, salmon and fox in 2015 Games format)
2015 Games Manager of Communications and Community Relations, Alyson Gourley-Cramer says so far, they have received about 200 entries.
A selection committee will chose the top three contenders and reveal them on February 15th. That's when the public will be offered an opportunity to vote on their favourite. That voting will close at the end of day on March 1st.
The top vote getter will be announced on March 11th.

this could have been the perfect opportunity to reboot Mr. PG, bus alas, it will be a moose I’m sure. I like moose, don’t get me wrong, but we could have made Mr. PG cool again. it’s amazing how popular and well-known he was in the 1950s and 60s, all over BC and even other parts of Canada. no longer….sniff…
