Quesnel Area Businesses Targeted By Thieves

Quesnel, B.C. – Quesnel RCMP are investigating three Break and Enters to local businesses over the weekend.

On Saturday at approximately 4:07 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a local industrial business in the 1100 block of Highway 97 north in Quesnel. On arrival it was noted that unknown suspects had entered the store illegally and a quantity chainsaws had been stolen.  A total loss value has not been determined at this time.

Then at 5:22 a.m. Saturday, police responded to an alarm at a business in the 4000 block of Edwards Road in Kersley.   Unknown suspects had entered the store illegally and a quantity alcoholic beverages had been stolen.  A total loss value has not been determined at this time.  Due to similarities in these two Break and Enters, police believe they may be related.

On Sunday morning at 5:47 a.m., police responded to an alarm at a business in the 400 block of McLean Street in Quesnel.   Thieves had entered the store illegally and a large quantity sunglasses was stolen.   Again, the total loss value has not been determined.

Quesnel RCMP assisted by the Williams Lake Forensic Identification Section continues to investigate these crimes.   Forensic evidence has been seized and police are awaiting analysis.
